In the spirit of providing useful info for helping to manage your ADHD, yet not overloading the ADHD brain wiring, I proudly (well, humbly) present Tom’s Top 1 List, coming very soon.
The blogosphere is bulging with lists: “Top 5 Impossible-to-Afford Resorts” , “Top 7 Great Appetizers You’ll Never Believe are Made with Recycled Newspaper”, or lists of lists- “My Top 7 Top 10 Lists”.
I recall my usual experience when I’d call Bobbi my beloved from the market, and she’d suggest a few items a short list which I would try to remember, so I’m not one of those people texting and driving, albeit a shopping cart. 3 items and I’m OK retaining it in memory, but add a fourth, and presto- they all got ERASED (now she texts me her picks).
I know one item is not much of a list, but that’s the idea- let’s focus on one key idea to manage your ADHD at a time. Look at the bright side- it’s really easy to prioritize a list of one item ;-).
