This blackboard sign caught my eye the other day (I like blackboards- so low-tech)....

How many of you know THIS Cha-Cha? I threw in a spin move…Not long after I had been diagnosed with ADHD, and had started the work of understanding what it was and how and when MINE affected me, I experienced my version of the ADHD Cha-Cha. I was heading to the kitchen, and as I walked by a bedroom, I saw one of my guitars on a stand, and thought of a song I needed to work on, and immediately headed towards that. As I was spinning that way, I saw the front door, which reminded me of something I had to get out the car parked in front, and I spun THAT way. I must have done 2 full 360s, being spun around by the three thoughts, and then I just stopped, realized what I had done, and just started laughing.
I’m sure I had done this dance countless times before, but the difference this time was that I was aware of what my brain was up to and made me laugh. My cockeyed optimism was experiencing an ADHD moment, followed up by a glimpse of clarity about it, followed by being amused by it- definitely an improvement over beating myself up about it.
