ADHD is often referred to as a “spectrum disorder” because it can (and usually does) affect all aspects of our lives, across a spectrum of situations. Combine your genetic makeup, age, upbringing, educational contexts, personal circumstances, and the ever-changing pattern of outside influences, and you’ve got a recipe for uniqueness- with singular ADHD strengths and challenges. Each of us is unique in the particular way we perceive the world, learn/process, and react to stimuli.
